Forest Industries Training Institute (FITI) - Moshi was established in 1975 through financial assistance from the Swedish government under SIDA.The institute is registered by National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) and obtained full accreditation in January 2008

To design and conduct demand driven carryout training courses,research and consultancy services all applying effective and modern technology to improve quality products and services in mechanical wood processing industries in Tanzania.
